Jamie grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina and graduated from Elon University where she played rugby and earned a Bachelor of Arts in both history and political science.
Jamie earned her Juris Doctor degree from UNC School of Law. As a law student, Jamie was an active member of the Pro Bono Board, Holderness Moot Court, and the First Amendment Law Review. Through her work with the UNC Pro Bono Board, she helped plan volunteer clinics in Cherokee and Boone, North Carolina, and she helped the Class of 2016 reach record-breaking Pro Bono participation. As a law student Jamie remained heavily involved in the UNC Community, earning membership in the James E. and Carolyn B. Davis Society recognizing students possessing both academic and personal excellence.
Jamie followed her desire to help others and joined Oxner + Permar in 2016. Jamie represents clients in workers’ compensation cases, assisting injured workers to ensure they receive proper medical care and the benefits to which they are entitled. She is a member of the North Carolina State Bar.
Outside of work Jamie enjoys volunteering at Read & Feed as a reading tutor, watching ACC basketball, and is a member of Church on Morgan in Raleigh.
