Paul joined Oxner + Permar in 2015. He has a wealth of personal injury experience on both the plaintiff’s and the defendant’s side. In addition to his vast experience handling automobile accidents, tractor-trailer collisions, slip and fall, and other premises liability claims, he also has a broad background in appellate work, federal courts, and insurance coverage.
Paul moved to North Carolina from Wyoming in 1985 when he was stationed with the 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. After serving more than four years in the U.S. Army, he earned a bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in economics from Methodist University and a master’s degree in international development from North Carolina State University. Paul graduated in the top 20% of his law school class at George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia in 1997.
Paul is admitted to practice law in all North Carolina trial and appellate courts, federal courts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit. He is also admitted in Virginia and is an associate member of the Virginia Bar.
Outside of work Paul spends his free time with his wife, two daughters and their Pug, Tootsie, and their Bichon Frise, Buttercup. He also enjoys playing basketball, reading, and traveling.
