After many years of planning and waiting

After many years of planning and waiting, the 34 mile northern beltway around Forsyth County has been funded by the legislature. The property over which the beltway will run is subject to the “Map Act” which has prohibited property owners from developing their property to accommodate future highway construction by the State of North Carolina.  The North Carolina Court of Appeals  has ruled in an unanimous opinion that  Map Act constitutes a government taking of private property for which property owners must be fairly compensated. Are you one of the many Forsyth County residence affected by the Map Act, or whose property is being taken by the state for construction of the northern beltway? Click this link to see
