Initially your medical records are reviewed in our office to establish that we have the evidence we need to move forward with your claim. This includes proof that you used the drug in question or had the implant that we’re looking for. Then we look to see the extent of harm that occurred to you. When we file a claim on your behalf the lawyers for the defendants will also seek your medical records. As you can imagine, they are not going to hand out a lot of money if we cannot prove that you really were injured by their product. The amount and type of medical records which are turned over to the defendants is limited by the judge overseeing the case. No one is going through records which the judge says are irrelevant to the case.
