Joel Davis prides himself on helping injured workers navigate the workers' compensation system. He is a senior attorney with over 12 years of experience. Throughout his career, Joel has been assisting injured workers with their claims for compensation. In 2007, he went through the application and testing process to receive his Board of Certification in Workers' Compensation Law from the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization and in 2013 his board certification in workers’ compensation was renewed.
In 2011, Joel was selected by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star, an award given out to no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state. In 2012 and in 2013, he repeated this achievement, receiving his second and third Rising Star Awards from Super Lawyers. The company Martindale-Hubbell provides peer review ratings for lawyers based on their ethical standards and legal ability. The highest rating an attorney can receive is an AV rating, and Joel is AV rated. In addition to his awards, he is a member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice and the Workers' Injury Law and Advocacy Group (WILG).
Born and raised in Kissimmee, FL, Joel went to college at Georgia Southern University. Thereafter, he attended law school at Tulane University, in New Orleans, La., where he received his Juris Doctorate degree in 2000. Following law school, Joel moved to Greensboro, NC to begin his practice of law and to be closer to family. He is married and has four children. In addition to his work helping injured workers, Joel has also participated in food drives, volunteer work at Urban Ministries and projects with the Knights of Columbus.
